HuaTai Group Successfully Tests Custom 1314 Low-Temperature Subcritical Extraction Equipment for Minnan Normal University
ZHANGZHOU, China – In a significant advancement for essential oil research and development, HuaTai Group has announced the successful trial operation of a custom-built, low-temperature subcritical extraction system for Minnan Normal University (MNU) in China’s Fujian province. The state-of-the-art equipment, designated as the “1314” model, is specifically engineered for the gentle and efficient extraction of high-value essential oils, with initial applications focusing on Sichuan pepper oil and other botanical essences.

The commissioning of this specialized subcritical extraction equipment for essential oil research marks a pivotal step for MNU’s College of Chemistry and Material Science. Subcritical extraction technologies utilize fluids at specific temperatures and pressures to isolate delicate aromatic compounds without damaging them with high heat. This 1314 system is designed to operate at exceptionally low temperatures, preserving the full volatile profile, potency, and purity of the extracted oils.
“This successful trial run is a testament to our commitment to providing tailored, cutting-edge solutions for academic research,” said a senior engineer from HuaTai Group. “The ‘1314’ system was developed in close collaboration with MNU researchers to meet their precise requirements for studying the unique chemical properties of regional botanicals like Sichuan pepper. Its low-temperature capability is crucial for obtaining the most authentic and bioactive extracts.”
The successful implementation of the 1314 system underscores HuaTai Group’s position as a leading provider of advanced extraction technology and highlights the growing importance of sophisticated equipment in driving innovation within the essential oil industry and academic research.
