Huatai Delivers 100 T/D Soybean Extrusion and Oil Pressing Turnkey Plant in Togo: Chinese Smart Manufacturing Empowers Africa’s Edible Oil Industry Upgrade

From the Workshop to the Heart of Africa: Huatai’s 100 T/D Soybean Extrusion and Oil Pressing Turnkey Plant Successfully Delivered, Setting a New Benchmark in International Oil Engineering
As global agricultural collaboration deepens, grain and oil machinery manufacturers with complete line export capabilities are becoming pivotal partners in international oil projects. Recently, Henan Huatai Intelligent Equipment Group announced the successful delivery of a 100 T/D soybean extrusion and oil pressing plant project in Togo. A modern edible oil processing line that integrates efficient pretreatment, extrusion, pressing, and extraction has officially come into operation. This is not only another milestone for Chinese smart manufacturing on the African continent but also marks a new leap in Huatai’s international turnkey capabilities in the field of complete oil milling equipment.
Togo, an important agricultural country in West Africa, holds considerable potential in soybean production. However, for a long time, it has faced bottlenecks such as a shortage of edible oil processing equipment and a low edible oil self-sufficiency rate, making it heavily reliant on imported high-quality cooking oil. Huatai’s tailor-made 100 T/D soybean extrusion and oil pressing line has been process-optimized—from fine cleaning and crushing with soybean pretreatment equipment to the core stages involving the soybean extruder and soybean oil press machine—specifically targeting the characteristics of local soybeans. This effectively increases the oil yield and reduces residual oil in the meal. By incorporating extrusion technology, the bulk density of the material is increased and the cell walls are thoroughly ruptured, which not only significantly reduces the solvent consumption and power costs of the downstream oil solvent extraction equipment but also notably improves crude oil quality and the feed value of the soybean meal. The launch of this project will directly help Togo substantially increase its local soybean processing capacity, generate local employment, reduce dependence on imported edible oil, and become an important link in the agricultural value chain upgrade.
During project execution, Huatai Intelligent Equipment Group demonstrated the rigorous approach expected of a national-level green factory and high-tech enterprise. From complete process design, equipment selection and manufacturing, to on-site installation, commissioning, and operator training, the Huatai team strictly adhered to international standards to ensure the stability and efficiency of the entire edible oil processing line. Every soybean oil press machine and supporting core piece of equipment embodies the principles of green and energy-saving manufacturing and integration. This is precisely the underlying logic that has enabled Huatai to earn the trust of customers in over 60 countries and regions and to establish over 20 overseas offices for localized service.
The successful delivery of the Togo project is a microcosm of Huatai’s deep cultivation of the Belt and Road market with complete oil milling equipment as a key offering. It sends a clear signal to oil processing enterprises around the world: regardless of project scale or location, Huatai, as an oil press equipment supplier covering the entire chain from R&D and manufacturing to installation and service, has the capability to provide optimal solutions from single machines to complete soybean extrusion and oil pressing plants. Moving forward, Huatai will continue to harness technological innovation and quality service to help more countries and regions build self-sufficient, efficient, and green local edible oil industries.
